Baking Oven in Cathodic system

In the case of cathodic system for automotive coating, the required temperature for curing is higher than Anodic system. This is due to the specific curing mechanism of cathodic electro deposition paint. Furthermore, the cathodic film can not exhibit its superior corrosion resistance expected, unless it is baked properly. This is the reason why it is particularly important to maintain the required temperature and time, in case of cathodic sytem.

In cathodic system, the fume would be a problem. The fume generated in the curing stage crystallizes on the portion where the temperature is lower. This is in powder from and trends to drop on the painted surface, which causes so called “dirt problem”. Regular cleaning in the oven is particularly important.
