Painting Boat
Maintaining your boat. Maintain the recommended coverage.
Be careful not to exceed the recommended coverage for each boat. You are a better painter if you can paint more meters the recommended and the paint will not be better if it has more coverage. For the best result, it is important to obtain the total dry film thickness recommended for the different part of the boat depending on type of structure.

This is the mixing ratio between the base (component A) and the setting agent (component B) in twopack product. The mixing ratio is expressed both in weight and in volume in technical instruction for each product. You must pay careful attention to this information since these amount must not be arbitrarily varied. Remember that extra setting agent will not only dry the paint quicker but also alter its characteristic and quality.

This is an instrument for measuring the thickness of film paint. These gauges come on several shapes and sizes and the most accurate is the “magnetic” type, which can only measure dry film thickness on metals.
More practical are so-called “comb” thickness gauges which measure the “wet” film thickness, i.e. immediately after application. Once the wet film thickness is known, if the dry volume is 60%, wet film of 100 microns will correspond to a dry film of 60 micron, etc.
